Game Summary

Ground Zero is a retro-inspired survival horror game set in a post-apocalyptic South Korea following a devastating meteor impact that has transformed the country into a nightmare filled with mutated creatures and environmental corruption. Players take control of Seo-Yeon, an elite Korean operative and her Canadian partner as they investigate the ruined city of Busan and uncover the truth behind the disaster.

Inspired by classic survival horror games like Resident Evil and Silent Hill, Ground Zero features fixed camera angles, pre-rendered backgrounds, puzzle solving, resource management and optional tank controls. Exploration plays a major role, with players navigating ruined streets, abandoned shoreline towns, temples and urban environments while carefully managing ammunition and supplies.

Combat combines traditional survival horror gunplay with melee mechanics, allowing players to shoot, stab, kick and counter enemies using both firearms and martial arts training. Cleaner kills reward players with Genome Points that can be exchanged for weapon upgrades and new abilities, adding a progression system while still maintaining the tension and vulnerability expected from the genre.

The game also features large-scale boss encounters, puzzles, custom difficulty options, unlockable content and multiple endings. Combined with its atmospheric setting and strong focus on classic survival horror design, Ground Zero aims to deliver a modern take on the retro survival horror formula.
