Phase Paradox: The Weird, Sci-Fi Horror Game That Never Left Japan
Join me on my second journey into Japan exclusive games, this time with a retrospective and analysis of Phase Paradox on the PS2! Despite being voiced entirely in English, it never made it to worldwide release. It’s a horror, movie adventure game that’s a sequel to the PS1 shoot ’em up Philsoma 🙂 I dive into the development history and stories of both titles, as well as ranting about artwork, sci-fi and and my love for what people call “bad” games.
Information on Phase Paradox is extremely difficult to come by, but there’s a lot of new info I can share thanks to the director of the game agreeing to answer some questions I had!
Thank you to Takayuki for the insight into developing the game! You can find the full interview here: https://www.tumblr.com/eurothug4000/7…
